The CEO and founder of Fortitude Capital is confident that Portugal has the potential to establish itself among private equity investors and believes the country’s small size works in its favour when it comes to attracting capital.

“Portugal is a very small economy and, almost because of that, it is attractive for investment. We don’t have the big private equity funds here, nor the big investment banks with capital and resources allocated. That is precisely why Portugal is a kind of playground that can offer very interesting opportunities for private equity compared with other European markets,” he said on Wednesday, the 22nd.
